Job Description

As the Social Media & Graphics Designer at Jibs-Ray Nigeria Ltd, you will play a critical role in how we communicate, engage, and grow our brand online. From ideation to execution, you will design eye-catching visual content that tells stories, drives engagement, and enhances brand perception.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Content Creation:
- Design visually appealing social media posts, infographics, flyers, banners, and digital ads for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that are both aesthetically pleasing and strategically aligned.
Brand Consistency:
- Ensure all designs are consistent with our brand guidelines and tone.
- Innovate while maintaining visual integrity and brand alignment.
Video Content & Animation (Optional but desirable):
- Create short animations, reels, or motion graphics for marketing campaigns.
- Edit video content for social platforms or digital ads when required.
Social Media Management:
- Assist with planning and scheduling social media content.
- Monitor trends and contribute creative ideas to boost engagement.
- Occasionally respond to comments, messages, and audience inquiries.
Market & Competitor Research:
- Stay up to date with design trends, social media algorithms, and brand strategies.
- Analyze competitor pages and suggest ways to differentiate our digital presence.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other creatives, marketers, and developers.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and campaign meetings.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements:

Minimum: OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
Relevant fields include Graphics Design, Computer Science, Mass Communication, Fine Arts, Marketing, or related areas.
Self-taught designers or freelancers with a strong portfolio are highly encouraged to apply.

Experience Level:

0–2 years of experience in a similar role.
Internship or freelance experience will be considered.

Essential Skills:

Proficiency in design tools such as:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Canva
- Figma or Adobe XD (bonus)
Basic knowledge of social media management tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite.
Strong eye for detail and aesthetics.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Bonus Skills (Not Mandatory):

Video editing (using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut).
Basic motion graphics or animation.
