Position Overview: Product Designer (UI/UX Designer)
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and user-focused Product Designer (UI/UX Designer) to join our growing product and engineering team. As a Mid-Level Product Designer, you will help us deliver seamless, intuitive, and engaging digital experiences across our web and mobile platforms.
Working closely with product managers, developers, learning experience specialists, and key institutional stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user journey of our students and faculty members. Your designs will directly impact how users interact with our learning portals, assessment tools, dashboards, and more.

Key Responsibilities
As a Mid-Level Product Designer, you will be responsible for creating end-to-end digital experiences—from discovery to deployment.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. User-Centered Research

Conduct user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and field research to understand user pain points.

Translate research insights into user personas, empathy maps, journey maps, and user flows.

Collaborate with the research team to align findings with learning objectives and platform goals.
2. Design Strategy and Execution

Create wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile platforms.

Design intuitive interfaces that align with user needs and institutional goals.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility across all touchpoints.
3. Design Systems & Guidelines

Maintain and evolve our design system and UI component library.

Ensure brand consistency and cohesive design language across all digital properties.

Champion accessibility and usability best practices (e.g., WCAG 2.1 compliance).
4. Collaboration & Communication

Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.

Work with product managers to understand requirements and prioritize features.

Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and design critiques.
5. Continuous Improvement

Use analytics and feedback to iteratively improve user flows and interface performance.

Stay updated on the latest trends in UX, UI, accessibility, and educational technologies.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a talented, strategic, and empathetic designer who is excited about building solutions that improve the way people learn and teach.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field

Minimum of 2–5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design or product design

Strong portfolio showcasing previous work across platforms (web and mobile), including design process

Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, or Adobe Creative Suite

Strong grasp of UX principles, information architecture, and responsive design

Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams

Excellent visual design skills and a keen eye for detail
Preferred (but not mandatory):

Experience in designing EdTech platforms or learning management systems (LMS)

Familiarity with HTML/CSS or front-end development basics

Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design practices

Experience with tools like Notion, Trello, Jira, or Confluence
